DEL Commercial Joinery was engaged to manufacture and install all custom joinery for the new CAHMS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) facility at Tuggerah. The scope incorporated detailed and durable joinery solutions across multiple functional zones including reception, meeting rooms, quiet pods, gym, and staff areas.
Key joinery highlights included two custom reception desks with integrated anti-jump barriers and wall battens, printer and storage cabinetry, curved benchtops, acoustic wall panelling, and kitchenette joinery. Each element was designed to suit the clinical and therapeutic environment, balancing safety, durability, and aesthetics.
Materials & Finishes
Doors & Panels:
Laminex laminate range – commercial grade decorative laminates in neutral and woodgrain finishes.
Carcass & Shelving:
Moisture-resistant Laminex decorated MDF, compliant with AS/NZS 1859.2.
Benchtops:
Laminex Squareform and stainless-steel benchtops to hygiene-sensitive zones (e.g., gym sink cabinet).
Hardware:
Premium soft-close hardware and fittings to suit clinical application; stainless steel handles and fixings.
Kickboards:
Laminate to match cabinetry or stainless steel in high-use areas.
