Project Overview

This project involved the comprehensive refurbishment and upgrade of the Science facilities within Block B at San Clemente College, Mayfield.


The scope included the manufacture and installation of laboratory-grade joinery designed to meet AS/NZS 2982 requirements, incorporating chemical-resistant materials, integrated sinks, gas service coordination, and accessible bench provisions in accordance with AS 1428.2.

Works were carried out across:

  • Chemistry Laboratory (Block B)

  • Physics Laboratory (Block B)

  • Science Preparation Room (Block B)

The project required careful coordination with plumbing, gas, and electrical trades to ensure seamless integration of services within all benching and cabinetry.


Materials & Finishes

  • Benchtops: Laminex Compact Laminate (Vapour / Oyster Grey – Black Core), chemical, heat and stain resistant

  • Cabinetry: Chemical-resistant laminate (Zincworks – Natural Finish) on HMR MDF

  • Carcass: Rhinoply

  • Hardware:
    Madinoz 316 Stainless Steel flush pulls
    Häfele Slido Classic sliding systems
    Kethy solid stainless steel bar pulls
    Soft-close hinges and drawer runners
