Project Overview
DEL Commercial Joinery was engaged to deliver the full scope of custom joinery for the Maitland Mutual Bank fitout at 110 George Street, Maitland. The project required a highly considered balance of durability, accessibility, and refined aesthetics appropriate for a contemporary banking environment.
The scope included the manufacture and installation of bespoke teller pods, digital interaction kiosks, mobile pods, feature batten walls, front-of-house and staff storage, writing benches, staff kitchen joinery, office storage, lockers, joinery screens, a coin counter, and associated amenity partitions. Each element was designed and constructed to integrate seamlessly with the architectural intent while meeting strict compliance, accessibility, and operational requirements.
Feature timber battens were used extensively throughout the tenancy to create visual warmth, curved forms, and architectural definition, particularly within the customer-facing areas. Solid surface benchtops, high-pressure laminates, and custom-finished panels were selected for longevity, ease of maintenance, and a cohesive visual language across all zones.
All joinery works were completed in accordance with approved drawings, relevant Australian Standards, and NCC requirements, and were delivered as part of a coordinated commercial construction program
