Project Overview
DEL Commercial Joinery was engaged to design, manufacture, and install custom commercial joinery for the USYD Cellar Theatre within the Holme Building at the University of Sydney. The project focused on delivering robust, high-capacity storage solutions suited to a high-use performing arts environment, while maintaining a refined, cohesive aesthetic appropriate to the heritage-adjacent campus setting.
The scope included full-height storage joinery and overhead cabinetry, purpose-designed to maximise storage efficiency and durability while integrating seamlessly with the theatre’s back-of-house spaces. All works were completed in accordance with approved drawings, relevant Australian Standards, and University compliance requirements, with careful consideration given to longevity, accessibility, and ongoing maintenance.
